Introduction: The Interactive System Productivity Facility (ISPF) Program Development Facility (PDF) provides the end user an environment in which he/she can interact with the facilities of MVS. Using TSO/ISPF's editor, the end user can interactively create files and submit jobs for batch execution. Output from these jobs can be viewed on-line. In addition, TSO/ISPF offers a complete set of utilities for viewing MVS catalogs and volume tables of contents (VTOCs), and for manipulating user files.

The course teaches the end user how to use the primary functions of TSO/ISPF. This includes complete use of the full-screen editor, the file browse utility, the file maintenance utilities and the output viewer. The class uses exercises to reinforce the concepts presented and is structured for an interactive classroom environment in which the students can use TSO/ISPF during the classroom sessions. Direct use of TSO commands is also covered.

Audience: This course is intended for programmers and end-users who will create and modify data sets in the TSO/ISPF environment.
